Guess there weren't enough movies out there about soldiers and cops this year (since, as my finacee loves to point out, those are the parts Denzel seems to play almost every time).
No! This is where you go "Woo-hoo!" Jeez.
J.D. - Inside Man, Man on Fire, Antwone Fisher, John Q, Training Day, Remember the Titans, The Hurricane, He Got Game, Courage Under Fire, Crimson Tide, Philadelphia, Malcolm X, Mo' Better Blues, and Glory.
'fraid not, my friend.
Hatter - Yeah...she's right. But he's still going to be great the Taking of Pelham 123 remake.
Do NOT include Inside Man. Any goodness that film had was caused only by Jodie Foster and to an extent Clive Owen. Denzel was HORRIBLE. And the film wasn't that great anyway.
Denzel has taken that paycheck a few times. The Seige and Man on Fire are two examples , while stylistic ( abeit in a Mtv done to death way) I've never seen either film other than it's initial viewing. That said, he does tend to choose the roles with the best part offered to him , and biggest paycheck/quality attached to the project. I still feel he's an earmark of a film worth seeing when I see his name. And I STILL think Mo Better Blues is one of th emost underrated gems of the past 20 years.

I don't care what anyone says, Denzel is a terrific actor. Sure, he may be a one-trick pony, but that trick is damn good.
JD....Jodie Foster is horrendously bad in Inside Man. I really haven't seen a worse performance by her than that one. Denzel was pretty decent and Clive was great.
lol, Hatter. You're absolutely right. Or I should say your fiancee is. Don't forget coaches. Soldiers, cops, and coaches. Sam Jackson loves those as well.
What Dead Pan said about Foster. Ugh...
NO! Shut up, she was awesome.
