He Shot Cyrus: Where are all my fat comedians?

Monthly Contest: THANKS FOR WRITING!

He Shot Cyrus is giving back to our readers. We're doing so with the monthly Thanks For Writing contest.

Synopsis: The more comments you leave at He Shot Cyrus, the better chance you have of winning the monthly mystery prize.

Rules:
1. Every (substantial) comment someone leaves on a He Shot Cyrus post will earn an entry into the monthly drawing.

2. On the last day of every month a random drawing will occur. The first person who has their name drawn will win.

3. After the monthly winner is announced, that person has one week (7 days) to e-mail their name and mailing address to heshotcyrus@hotmail.com.

4. If the winner fails to send their name/address within a week, a new name will be drawn and that new winner will have one week to send in their information.

5. At the end of the year, ALL of the names will be thrown back into a hat and three GRAND PRIZE WINNERS will be selected. These prizes will be significantly bigger and better than the monthly prizes.

Remember, ten comments = ten contest entries!

How about Most Overrated Fat Comedians? My contribution: Frank Caliendo (although, apparently, he dropped a few for those Dish Network commericals). Granted, his impressions are good, but have you ever seen any of his stand up specials? Brutal. I'd lump him in with those inexplicably famous comedians that my parents love for reasons unbeknownst to me (like a Jeff Dunham, or Carlos Mencia).

Speaking of comedy, I just got wind that Greg Giraldo is coming to the Punchline for three dates in early January. I'm trying to think of a way to justify spending the money necessary to see him all three nights.; November 27, 2008 at 12:31 AM

Damn, I love that show.

I went to the dollar theater a couple weeks ago to watch Death Race and there was this redneck family in there with their 7-year-old rat-tail-donning brood child and Frank's commercial came on and the kid yells out "Oh, Frank TV! Dad, look! It's Frank TV." That was the moment I decided never to watch Frank TV.

Why the HELL do people pay money to watch Jeff Dunham? I will NEVER understand that. I'd sooner watch the Blue Collar Comedy Tour for seven hours than watch seven minutes of that puppet guy.

Try this excuse on for size: If I don't spend the money on these tickets, I'll only spend it on something else stupid later. Might as well go do something I'll remember forever.
