Saved By The Bell > California Dreams
True. But California Dreams > Saved By The Bell: The New Class
I like how they snuck the replacement lead (Was he a cousin? I can't recall.) in on the right there.
Um I don't think I ever watched this show... but Fletch points out something really funny. The girl on the left and the guy on the right are totally photoshopped in.
Haha! They definitely photoshopped in Sam and Jake on the ends. They joined the cast in the second season. I love how they used a first season photo and just photoshopped the two on the end in...instead of just taking a new photo. Though when the show's annual budget is probably $250.76, I'm sure you have to cut corners.
All this talk of California Dreams, Saved by the Bell, Saved by the Bell: The New Class reminds me of how many of those type shows there were when we were growing up. Like Saved by the Bell: The College Years, USA High, Breaker High, Sweet Valley High. They all kind of blur together.
I love how everyone looks so happy except the 2 guys on the right... who peed in their cereal???
Oh crap! I used to love California Dreams! I thought Jake was such a shredding guitarist -- until I grew a little older and recognized that his fingers hardly moved on the neck.
I grew up in Santa Cruz, CA and the cast from the California Dreams came to the Boardwalk one summer. I was walking into the event, turned to my left, and there was Sly in all his slyness. I almost fainted. I've been lucky enough to have met some famous folks in my day, but that one encounter is still at the top of the list. Star-struck doesn't even begin to cover it.
Good call Fletch and the random appearance on the cover of the cousin. Seriously, WTF?
The fact that you even entertained the thought of having a California Dreams post is yet another reason why I love you, Scott.
Oh great holy aardvark I REMEMBER THIS SHOW NOW. Thanks, dude. Now all the time I could have spent watching quality films on Netflix will be spent watching this.

I'm with Meredith. I had COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN this show, which I was IN LOVE with. I crushed the replacement lead hardcore too! OMG!
And I also loooooved Sweet Valley High even though it had a short lived run. Those twins were HOT.
Holy shit! Cyrus, why didn't YOU TELL ME ABOUT THIS? I can't tell you how much time I wasted watching this show.
