Doug -- Tobey Maguire
Some things are just meant to be.
I bet Nickelodeon could get him for a good price too.

You're right. There couldn't be a better Mr. Dink.
Heather -- Thanks! I certainly couldn't think of one.
J.D. -- Thanks to you as well. Tell your friends.
Great cast - but especially, ESPECIALLY Kel Williams. Brilliant.
My only request is for more. Chaulky? Bebe (was that her name - the rich girl)? The mayor? The Beets?
And what about Porkchop?
I assume this film would pick up old-school Doug where it left off, rather than follow the thread through Brand Spanking New...?
And I really don't know why, but the Portman picks is surprisingly astute. Well-played.
LOL. Good picks!

Doug Funnie - Shia LeBouf
Judy Funnie - Maggie Gyllenhaal
:]
Oohh, I like this idea! I've got to agree with merrymintviolet's suggestion of Maggie Gyllenhaal for Judy Funnie. While I like the idea of Portman, Gyllenhaal even looks more like Maguire [& Judy] than Portman, is more naturally beatnik-like, and has that odd vocal quality like Judy.
As for Patti, I think Hayden Panettiere would fit the attitude of the role better. She's already an established, talented actress like Lively. However, Lively is almost too pretty to play Patti. Plus, Hayden even looks the part more & her height might suit both the role and Maguire better.
i agree completely with your choices of who should play who
but a few things
#1 its Kel Mitchell not Kel Williams (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005239/) and he would be perfect.
#2 Ever since FlashForward (late 90's kids show) I've loved Ben Foster and he further proved my opinions of him in xmen, punisher, alpha dog and especially in bang bang your dead. Not saying he is or isn't a prick in real life.
#3 I dont think that Rodger is suppose to be an unlikeable character or a "villian" in the show at all. Granted i got that impression from him when i was a kid but going back and watching the show lately i dont get that vibe from the show or him at all.
and on a side not when i think of JUDITH the person who always comes to mind is the chick from saved by the bell: the college years, because she was really weird, artsy and an drama major and she kinda looks like her (http://sharetv.org/images/saved_by_the_bell_the_college_years/alex_tabor-char.jpg)
love the picks though man
in my particular opinion I don't like the idea to take so serious actors to make a simple cartoon like this, you must be more serious like Kamagra Jelly this have a seriously effect.
I'd say Anton Yelchin for Doug...
And how dare you hate Ben Foster!
this is what ill do ill have it start off in cartoon or live action it does not matter & have it rehashing the doug funny from nick & disney then have it say blank years later & i would it when doug is in college
