What are we, you pop culture phone-a-friends?

Next thing you'll be chiding your audience for not telling you about Matt Damon's cameo on 30 Rock.

You know gringo. A real fan would never have to be told. Just saying :P

Matt Damon's WHAT? Just kidding. I saw that and it was glorious.

Univarn -- Don't think I haven't been telling myself that all day.

Haha - I didn't hear about this, either. First Saved by the Bell, and now Cali Dreams? Fallon knows where my bread is buttered.

CD was actually a pretty awful show, but I do have some fond memories of it. Though I don't see Sly in that picture (don't tell me that's him on the right...).

I did see this, but I had no idea you liked California Dreams -- otherwise I totally would have told you. I forget other people watched that show. Sometimes I feel like me and my siblings were the only ones that watched these crazy shows. Actually, sometimes I feel like we made up these shows...

But man did they butcher that theme song on the reunion show. Not that it was ever great, but they sounded pretty bad on Jimmy's show.

Heather, did you ever watch Mario Lopez' Name Your Adventure? I wholly believe that I'm the only person (except for maybe you) who's ever seen this.

Did the show also have Tatyana Ali? If so, I remember that show and I think I saw some episodes here and there, but I didn't really watch it much. I think I remember a diver and a girl that wanted to meet Jonathan Brandis (back when he was on that totally lame Seaquest show -- if I were on that show, I would kill myself. Oh...).

But speaking of Mario Lopez, that reminds me of Kids Incorporated. Did you ever watch that show? Mario wasn't really a character on the show, but he was a backup dancer and drummer on the show. It also had Jennifer Love Hewitt (back when she just went by Love) and Fergie (back when she went by Stacy and was pre-meth). It also had Eric Balfour (he's been in a bunch of random stuff since then. Most notably Six Feet Under). It also had Haylie Johnson, who I remember being in that Fathers' Day movie and she's the sister of Ashley Johnson (who was Chrissy on Growing Pains and was also on What Women Want [where her boyfriend was played by Eric Balfour!!]), but I'm just stretching at this point...
Oh and Eric Balfour was also in that movie Trojan War which also starred JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT! And Jennifer Love also starred in Can't Hardly Wait, which had ERIC BALFOUR! Also in Can't Hardly Wait was Lauren Ambrose, Peter Facinelli, and Freddy Rodriguez...who were in Six Feet Under with ERIC BALFOUR! Ok, I'm stopping now.

Heather, you are my favorite person!
Tatyana Ali WAS on that show AND the Jonathan Brandis episode is on YouTube!

KIDS Inc. was one of my favorite shows. It wasn't until a decade later that I found out that it was actually Michael McDonald who sang "Sweet Freedom" and not the Incorporated Kids.

I learned a lot from that show like how the Indians and Pilgrims liked to dance and how black kids just want to have ice cream flavors named after them.

And I HAVE seen Trojan War. Can't Hardly Wait was a pivotal movie in my childhood. Sooo pretty... Whitney loved it too because of that kid from Hook and Dick Tracy.

But did you know that I still haven't seen Six Feet Under? I keep meaning to get it from the library but they always just have the second and third season. If my Netflix queue wasn't filled to the brim with California Dreams seasons, I'd use that. Ho hum.

They have that episode on YouTube!?! I need to go check that shit out. Although it might just break my heart to see Jonathan Brandis again...We were supposed to be married...

When you say Michael McDonald sang the song, not the Incorporated Kids...do you mean that he's the one that actually wrote the song? Because I definitely don't remember Michael McDonald's voice being dubbed over little kids lip syncing. Though that would be awesome.

I LOVED Can't Hardly Wait. I saw it twice in the theatre. That was a jam-packed cast.

You definitely have to see Six Feet Under. But I completely agree with your decision to put California Dreams first -- always put quality first. Also, to keep that queue going, if you haven't seen The Wire you also need to add that.

Here's a link to the first part: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_pc250K1NE&
I heard about you and Brandis' past. Sorry to hear your fiance hanged himself. Eagan's a close second though!

Yes, I meant "wrote Sweet Freedom" but now I realize what KIDS Inc. COULD have been! Jennifer Love opens her mouth out comes the gallant voice of Michael McDonald. Wow.

I have seen SOME of The Wire but not enough. And I will see Six Feet Under soon.

Eagan's a second, I don't know if I'd say 'close' though...

That's definitely what Kids Incorporated should have been. And out of Stacy's mouth comes the voice of Tom Waits.

The Wire is definitely best in chronological order and seeing them all. Seeing single episodes here and there you can still get a sense that it's a good show...but it's one of those shows where storylines continue throughout and you might be lost. Or not appreciate it as much.

Wow, this show and Saved by the Bell were the only reasons I didn't sleep past noon on Saturdays. Man, life use to be so simple.

I remember watching this along with Saved by the Bell. There was an Australian one that used to be similar too - Pugwall I think it was called.
