ReplyDeleteHonestly, I would have said that Layer Cake was his first movie. I had never even heard of him before that movie. Maybe I'm just blind.
ReplyDeleteMC -- Don't you think it's weird that Winslet went from Heavenly Creatures to Holy Smoke? That blows my mind. I guess that's what happens when you attempt to cross over. You start at the bottom again.
ReplyDeleteI remember her in a lot of movies between those two. Sense and Sensibility, Hamlet (granted I didn't see that one) and Jude come to mind. And that isn't mentioning the elephant in the room that is shaped like a ship made out of one director's ego.

ReplyDeleteI would have had to have seen, or at least cared sooomewhat about that flick, but I was too old for it. Never saw it, never knew either was in it. Weird, wild stuff.
