Saved By Zero is a terrible 80s song by The Fixx (click here if you really want to hear it) that is being used for a Toyota commercial where they're touting 0% interest rates.
It's all over the TV (and radio), and I think I've heard the first 3 seconds (before rapidly changing the channel) 500 times over the last three weeks.
Ah, I know that song. Didn't know what it was called though. I HATE when songs I like are used in commercials. I recently saw Foreigner play a live show and after the concert I felt like I has been watching a two-hour Burger King ad. The post-show Whopper was good though.
Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteExcellent. That just might get "Saved by Zero" out of my head for 17 seconds...
ReplyDeleteA funny thing happens when you cut and paste this character (go to this site):

The song from those commercials, Fletch? They kill me. KILL me.
ReplyDeleteWhat's Saved By Zero?
ReplyDeleteSorry if it's totally obvious and I missed the cultural reference.
